Glentromie Highland Lodge
Glentromie is a unique traditional Scottish Highland home, built in the Victorian era and situated in the stunning Cairngorms National Park.
Secluded and Private
Come and be caught up in the stunning and evocative beauty of the Scottish Highlands.
Glentromie lies just over a mile down a private glen road, in an elevated position surrounded by nothing but stunning wilderness.
Views of the magnificent glen roll in every direction – forest, river, mountain but the lodge is also secluded and private, enveloping you in a sense of tranquility, space and freedom.
A Relaxing Escape
Built in the early 1800s the lodge has been lovingly restored as a family home by owner Em Craigie Halkett, but it retains many of its original features including some working open fires, huge roll top baths and traditional decoration.
The lodge is warm and inviting with a number of more modern attributes to make your special stay easy and relaxed.
The kitchen is supplied with a large dishwasher, washing machine, double fridge freezers, a large double range cooker and all the appliances you could need for good coffee, great breakfasts and epic dinner parties.
Enjoy The Nature
The lodge is on wifi and has SKY TV so that you can relax after a day enjoying all that the great outdoors can bring.
Crisp bedding and fluffy towels are all supplied, as is a starter package of hardwood logs or a BBQ pack for our large outdoor grill.
There are so many incredible opportunities to enjoy the natural environment, history and architecture both directly from the front door and further afield.
Read our Things to Do section to explore.
Fun for the kids
For our mini explorers the woodland by the lodge brings an opportunity to build dens or take an adult down to the river for stone skimming and paddling.
We have a number of games, toys and DVDs belonging to our daughter for children to share and a special guide of things to do with under 12s.
Explore our information below and we hope to welcome you to Glentromie!
